Solid Wood Flooring

Flooring has come a log way in the last fifty years, and with all the products available today, it can be exhausting to try and decode the specifications and benefits to each new design and manufacturing technique.

We don't play around with all the jargon and flashy sales pitches. We use time-tested and traditional flooring the same style as your grandfathers and great-grandfathers.

So why choose solid hardwoods over an engineered flooring product?

1. Durability

No laminated veneer is going to stand up to a solid block of the same material. Eventually you will sand through a veneer, it can be scratched and dented by furniture and general wear and tear. Solid hardwood will give you the longevity, superior performance and nearly unlimited potential.

2. Value

When it comes to resale value, solid wood floors can help you get that edge in the market. When all it takes is a quick sanding and treatment to make your floors look brad new, it makes it a material that will ensure your home's floors have a long lifespan and is only a weekend project away from looking as new as the day you installed it.

3. Natural Beauty

It's impossible to match the inherent beauty of woodgrain, and while laminated veneer can showcase this well, the depth of natural color and variation you get with our solid hardwood flooring will give you the color variation and unique texture that only sawmill-direct lumber can attain.

How it's Installed

Our solid hardwood flooring comes milled with tongue and groove, ready to end match on site if the homeowner wants it that way. The modern flooring that is mass produced comes end matched in a box because it makes it easy to install and can help cut down on jobsite waste.

In the old days wood flooring was nailed or pegged down, which might be the look you want to achieve that authentic log cabin. But if you want that modern, classic floating floor, our flooring will still hold up to the task.

Our flooring can be installed that way, with he help of a simple #10 joinery biscuit, allowing the flooring to be laid without nails or pegs. This can also help installation in using the small drops that would normally be bound for the dumpster and incorporate that into the floor in places like corners and against walls.
